Hi, Arthur, just wanted to stop by and say it was great meeting you at the protest today. I am so exhausted from the march (unexpectedly) that I didn't make it back downtown.

It was a great experience and I hope to run into you again.

Thanks for chatting with me today. I am really passionate about this struggle and will not give up.

Best,

Mary

Wow, what a blast from the past. Please mention Yuri, or is it Dropoff, Will Power, AKA Richard Rawlins, and Richard Goldman without whose deranged mind there would have been no Fats Domino Theory. We were the "Three Guys from Hollywood," AKA Newsrag, doing Musical News for KROQ, where these songs first appeared. Long before the Daily Show and the Onion, there we were.

Hi Arthur,

I just watched the trailor to your Y Yoga Movie and loved it! I also listened to the interview in Vegas -- very interesting. I wrote a book called Yiddish Yoga: Ruthie's Adventures in Love, Loss and the Lotus Position (Newmarket Press, 2009) and I would like to send you a copy as a gift.

I think you will find my character, Ruthie, a 72 year old recently widowed Bubby, whose granddaughter gives her the gift of yoga to help her grieve -- a lot of fun. Ruthie kvetches and stretches her way through yoga and braids the yoga tradition with her yiddish tradition (like a challah bread!) with surprising results.

Your work and energy are inspiring.

Om shalom,
Lisa

HI Arthur. How are you? How are your journeys with the movie going? I read all your posts and try to stay abreast of the Y Yoga activities. It sounds like you still are keeping really busy and yet moving forward. All is well here – Devin is about to turn 5 (yes it’s been about 6 years since we met!). Work is good, life is good and I’m just having a lot of fun.

Of course I’d love to see you and catch up so I apologize in advance for touching base after a while and possibly asking you a favor… I am about to embark on this project and it seems really small (about 3 mins of video) and there is a short deadline, so I have been trying to figure out what/how/who to hire to help me pull it together/edit it and I just thought of you.

So, I have to ask… Oprah Winfrey is giving s/one the opportunity to be their own host of a TV show – and to be honest, I have been envisioning this for a few years and for the past 6 months – year envisioning myself on the Oprah Winfrey show! So I feel I have to take advantage of this gift opportunity and pull together an amazing 3 minute clip that I submit. The deadline is in a couple weeks and I’m leaving for NY in a few weeks too, so I’m feeling pressed that this weekend is my best bet – or early next week to pull it together. I wrote what I want to say and have a vision of how the clip would look – at least the part of the videotaping – so my original thought was to hire s/one just to edit, but it would be much easier if I had someone help with the video who knows what they are doing. I have two parents at Devin’s school I was thinking about asking, but I honestly haven’t seen any work from either of them that knocks my socks off. And I lay in bed thinking about this and creating my clip and just popped out of bed at this odd hour to write this email.

I am happy to pay you for some time as I realize this may be a bit of a time commitment for you and you likely have other pressing obligations. But either way, please think if you have a couple of hours for me and I’d love the opportunity to work with you in this fashion again even for just a tad bit.

I’m attaching the URL from Oprah’s site: it’s basically no more than 3 minutes and looks like some people do a little fancy intro – I have a lot to say in 3 minutes, so I mostly just need it to be eye catchy and clean and neat. She is offering some free music to use in the clip, so I imagine a little something would be great, but really, it should be just simple but make me look like the best interviewer for a new TV show. J I will share my ideas for my new show if/when we talk further, as I think you’d be interested in it.

Thanks for even considering to help me, Arthur. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Good night!

Hey Arthur, I just watched your interview on 'Lunchtime with Ira' from Las Vegas and enjoyed hearing about the organic process that led to your film and the 350 hours of footage you shot.
